What would be an organisation’s dream structure? Naturally, one that was flexible, maintains dynamism and responds rapidly to environmental change. Many organisations seem destined for a series of revolutions, demolitions, redesigns and reinventions. Wouldn’t it be so much more cost-effective and less stressful on all concerned to build a structure that does not need to traverse these catastrophic upheavals but simply metamorphoses naturally with the participants being almost oblivious to the continual change within?
